The club is pleased to announce the appointment of Vikki Madden & Matthew Lapsley as joint coaches for 2008. We all know Vikki as a fantastic player for our club over the last 3 years. Matthew comes to us as a highly experienced coach & player, most recently with GDFL Club, Winchelsea, but also has a whole range of playing and coaching experience from the Henderson Regional Team, Geelong Flyer pre League, Waverley District, 2003-04 Australian Men’s Full Court, Gippsland Storm Div 1 and the 2007 Victorian Indoor Men’s team.
The club also welcomes a new player to our A Grade squad, Christie Barnes from Melbourne. Expect to see Beck Cracknell & Bree Ryan playing higher grades this season after a great pre season. Some of the under 17 players who should continue to shine this season are Sarah Breed & Izza Kontogeogis in the A & B Squads and Zoe Woolnough who is playing C Grade. A & B Grade train Thursday nights at the club courts from 6.30 – 8.00 p.m. Reminder that the season commences on April 12 against Bell Park at Bell Park. As there is no football on this weekend, the club expects to see a large crowd following the girls. We are also fielding a number of junior teams.
