Under new coach. Mark Hovey, the playing group have worked extremely hard over the pre season with the assistance of fitness co ordinator, Mick O?Malley. Over 35 players attended a training camp over the week end in Anglesea and the club is playing an intra club match at Douglas St, Manifold Heights Cricket Ground, this Thursday night commencing at 6.00 p.m. Come and watch the game & then back to the rooms for a drink and a meal. Club Legend, Dennis Power is back at the club, as barman on Thursday nights. |

The club is pleased to announce the appointment of Vikki Madden & Matthew Lapsley as joint coaches for 2008. We all know Vikki as a fantastic player for our club over the last 3 years. Matthew comes to us as a highly experienced coach & player, most recently with GDFL Club, Winchelsea, but also has a whole range of playing and coaching experience from the Henderson Regional Team, Geelong Flyer pre League, Waverley District, 2003-04 Australian Men’s Full Court, Gippsland Storm Div 1 and the 2007 Victorian Indoor Men’s team. |

A new Coaches Box will hopefully be installed before the start of the season.
New light towers to both ovals, at a cost of over $160,000, courtesy of the COGG, should also be installed and operating by the end of April.
A Water Grant of $49,000 has been approved by Federal Government to install new water tanks next to the Longroom (Old Scout hall)
The netball seats have been replaced and both the seats and scoreboard have been painted by Clair Breed.
A working bee on the Longroom by the playing group has seen the Players Address Room finished off and gym equipment provided by Club Sponsor, DeGrandi Cycle & Sport installed in the back section. |
